FAQs

Warning: The following information is classified and intended only for those who wish to live if and when the undead rise. Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse will not be an easy feat and therefore, this post is not for the faint of heart.

Hello comrades!
Before we kick off with our insider tips, here is a quick introduction or "FAQ" post to subdue your eager thoughts and calm your nerves. (i know we said "the next post", but let's face it, everyone lies about timing on the internet).
We must tell you now, this may be the most important thing you will ever read in your entire life (which may be short unless you stick around for the next few posts. (sorry to be so blunt, friends, but it's a harsh world))

So, without further ado, here are some quick answers to your burning questions:

1. Are Zombies really THAT bad?? Warm Bodies shows their soft, kind, human side/Warm Bodies makes them look hot/I read on the internet that they'd be super cool/It would be fun to be on the winning side/ANY VARIATION OF SUPPORT...
stop. just stop right there.
Looking past the fact that Warm Bodies is completely romanticised and the main character, "R" looks like this:

Whilst your average, every day, non-movie-star zombie would look like this:

We assure you, we have your best interests at heart. Not to mention the whole future of the human race on our mind..
If there was any way to join the zombies, we would allow it. However, it's just not that simple.

2. Will there even be a zombie apocalypse? *angsty teenager side eye roll*
OBVIOUSLY! IT IS SO LOGICAL AND MAKES COMPLETE SENSE.
(Scientifically, viruses are mutating at ridiculous rates and in incredible ways. Because of this, it is possible for an army of people who are brain dead to walk the Earth. They just wouldn't be officially 'dead', per se)

Here is a video of proof!!! We all know everything on YouTube is real, therefore, Zombies are real.
Over and Out.

3. Should I be scared?

Always.
Just kidding! As Hermione Granger once said

Wow, she really is the brightest witch of her age.But her words are perfect in this instance!
Soon, you will have read and perfected the art of overcoming the zombies, therefore fear is useless.

Hopefully this settles your stomachs a little bit. See you soon for the commencement of our insider tips to surviving the zombie apocalypse!

The Walking Dead

Soooooo, we all know vampires took over the TV scene following the incredibly popular (perhaps overrated, but I digress) movie, Twilight. But did you know that Zombies have taken over!? -  Surpassing its counterparts "True Blood" and "The Vampire Diaries", “The Walking Dead” is rated as the Number 1 Supernatural TV series in America.

The show premiered its first season in 2010, with an impressive 5.35 million viewers, and has moved on to a whopping 16.11 million sixth season! *applause*

The Walking Dead is an American horror drama television series directed by Frank Darabont. It’s based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series of the same name, but quickly moves past its familiar premise, telling the story of what happened after the apocalypse, and the struggle to remain human after society’s collapse.

The gritty drama explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the eyes of a Sheriff; Rick Grimes, who awakens from a months-long coma. As he stumbles out of the hospital, he discovers that society has fallen, and his family are missing. In search for his wife and son, he bands together with a group of other survivors in a monster-ridden, rural Georgia.

With this diverse crew of rednecks and city slickers figuring out how or whether to work together, they tackle the impossible mission to survive and adapt to world infested by zombies.

At least, we’re told its impossible…

Now, you may have noticed, the zombies are portrayed in a vastly different light through this show in comparison to warm bodies. This is not an unusual occurrence. Pop culture often twists and molds particular things to fit in with their aim. However, I think we can all agree that an army of the undead will most definitely not be desirable, nor particularly friendly.

Keep an eye out for our next post where we FINALLY begin to share with you our top tips for surviving a zombie apocalypse!

Warm Bodies

Welcome back to Zombies 101!
The movie Warm Bodies although quite entertaining, poses a blatantly obvious fact, DO NOT BEFRIEND A ZOMBIE......but wait, it doesn't? Isn't that what we would expect? Apparently not. The story follows a community of survivors, living in protection and training to take on the zombies. However, in the beginning of the film, the protagonist named Julie, gets left behind during combat and saved by a young zombie boy named R.

From then on the tale continues as the two form an unlikely friendship and discover that the cure to humanity is close intimacy with humans. As they set out to transform as many zombies as they can, the Boneys (zombies who have lost all trace of their humanity) are threatened by the transformation and aim to attack the last remaining survivors. At the end of the film, humanity is saved as the Boneys are defeated and the zombies are brought back to life with the help of the other survivors.

Disclaimer: This is a fictional film and may not apply to real life circumstances during a zombie apocalypse.

Plants vs. Zombies - The Game and the Zombie Apocalypse

Welcome back!
Our first pop culture post is all about gaming! Zombies have been included in many ways: as secondary threats, bystanders and, of course, as main characters.

Plants vs. Zombies is one of the most popular games of the last decade. The game is a tower defence game, in which zombies are trying to attack a house and the residents within it. However, stopping these zombies is up to the player, who devises a strategy using different types of plants in order to prevent the invasion.

The game is well-known for its mainstream popularity, as well as its addictive nature. In terms of a zombie apocalypse, the game represents the battle between nature and zombies. However, you must be warned: when zombies attack, your corn cob may not be as useful as a deterrent as you would hope it to be.

In the end, the now-classic game is a basic introduction into the nature of the zombie invasion. It's also really, really fun.

Warning: Time may pass extremely fast whilst playing the game.
